Welcome our blog! Follow this site to track the excitement as five Nebraskans tour Australia as part of the Rotary Group Study Exchange (GSE) program. This program is a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for young business and professional men and women in their initial years of professional life. Rotary districts in different countries are paired to send and receive professional study groups of four to six non-Rotarian members and one Rotarian team leader to travel for four to six weeks, staying in the homes of Rotarians when possible. This dynamic program was launched in 1965 and has built a successful track record at the personal, community and international level. The program is designed to develop professional and leadership skills among young adults, so that they can address the needs of their communities in an increasingly global workplace. The 2008 trip will take the team to Melbourne, Australia on Feb. 23 and will see them return on March 29. During the trip, the team will make vocational visits, gain cultural experiences, develop fellowship opportunities and gain Rotarian involvement through in cities near Melbourne.
